Account Deletion

How to request deletion of your Smoogies account and associated data, and what happens next.

Important: deleting the app from your device does not automatically delete your Smoogies account on the server.

Delete your account in the app

If you can still access the app, the easiest way to delete your account is inside Smoogies:

Open Settings
Open the Account section
Choose Delete account
Confirm the deletion request

After successful deletion, Smoogies will clear the local game data on that device so the app starts fresh again.

Want to keep playing without a login?

If you only want to remove your account login details without deleting your pets and progress, open Settings > Account > Remove login details in the app.

This removes the email/password login from the current player and lets that progress continue on the device as a guest profile.

Please include enough information to help us locate the account, such as:

the email address linked to the account, if you created one
your player name
your player code, if available

What data is deleted

Deleting your Smoogies account is intended to permanently remove the current player's account and associated gameplay data from the live service.

This includes data such as:

your player account/profile
your login details for that account, such as the linked email address and password-backed account access
pets and pet progress
inventory and balances
adventure/session progress
related gameplay records needed to operate the account

If you delete the account from inside the app, the local game data on that same device is also cleared after successful deletion so the app starts fresh again.

What data may be kept for longer

Some limited records may be retained where necessary for:

legal obligations
security, abuse-prevention, or fraud-prevention purposes
temporary operational backup and restore cycles

Additional retention period: any such limited retained records are kept only until the relevant legal requirement, security need, or normal backup rotation has expired.
